Neil Patrick Harris Plugs Broadway’s “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”

Gearing up to open this spring, Neil Patrick Harris attended a Meet and Greet for Broadway’s “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” in New York City on Wednesday (February 5).
The “How I Met Your Mother” star rocked the show’s T-shirt, black jeans, and sneakers as he posed with fans and co-stars.

In the musical comedy, a fictional rock ‘n’ roll band is fronted by Hedwig, a transgender woman from East Berlin.
“Hedwig and the Angry Inch” starts previews on March 29th, with a public opening scheduled for April 22nd.

Newton-John to headline Vegas show

Grease star Olivia Newton-John is headed to Las Vegas.

The 65-year-old Australian singer and actress announced a headlining residency overnight.
She will perform 45 shows at the Donny and Marie Showroom at The Flamingo, starting April 8. Dates are scheduled through the northern summer.
Organisers say the show will feature Grease classics including Hopelessly Devoted to You and You’re the One That I Want, as well as Newton-John’s independent pop songs.
The show will be called Summer Nights.
Nostalgia acts do brisk business in Sin City, where Boyz II Men, Shania Twain and, of course, Donny and Marie Osmond continue to fill large theaters. Britney Spears is also heading a residency in Vegas.
Tickets go on sale on Friday starting at $ US69 ($ 79).

LeAnn Rimes Flaunts Her Fabulous Form in Hawaii

She’s always happy to parade around in a skimpy swimsuit, and LeAnn Rimes garnered plenty of attention on the beach in Hawaii on Sunday (February 2).
The “Spitfire” songstress looked super sexy in a white bikini while playing smashball with a pal as hubby Eddie Cibrian looked on.

LeAnn also made sure she posed some pictures to Instagram from her holiday with Cibrian, along with captions like, “Happy Hawaii! Yep, another lovey dovey bikini photo.”

Philip Seymour Hoffman, was found dead in New York on Sunday morning of an apparent drug overdose.

Philip Seymour Hoffman, was found dead in New York on Sunday morning of an apparent drug overdose.

Detectives found a syringe in his left forearm, at least two plastic envelopes with what appeared to be heroin nearby, and five empty plastic envelopes in a garbage can, the investigator said.

“It’s pretty apparent that it was an overdose,” the official said. “The syringe was in his arm.”

Philip's family released a statement saying: “We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Phil and appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from everyone. This is a tragic and sudden loss and we ask that you respect our privacy during this time of grieving. Please keep Phil in your thoughts and prayers.”

Philip, was found unresponsive around 11:30 a.m. on the bathroom floor of his Greenwich Village apartment by police responding to an emergency 911 call, and Emergency Medical Service workers declared him dead on the scene, the New York City Police Department said in a statement. An investigation was ongoing.

Philip who is survived by three children with his partner Mimi O'Donnell, had detailed his struggles with substance abuse in the past.

Philip Hoffman was 46Yrs and was  one of the most critically acclaimed actors of his generation. RIP

Mark Wahlberg to Host 2014 Kid’s Choice Awards

Hey kids, say hi to your mom for me!
The multi-talented Mark Wahlberg has been tapped to host this years 2014 Kid’s Choice Awards for Nickelodeon.  You might be asking yourself: “Were kids super hyped about ‘Lone Survivor’? Did they turn out in droves for ’2 Guns’?” But having Mark Wahlberg host the Kid’s Choice Awards actually makes sense when you remember that he’ll be starring in the upcoming “Transformers” sequel.
The event will take place Saturday, March 29th at 8pm ET and 9:30pm PT.  This marks the 27th year the event has been held, which is a depressing number because it only serves to remind me how old I am.  I remember watching the award show as a kid!  Uggggh nostalgia is overwhelming me.

Jesse Eisenberg Cast As Lex Luthor in “Batman vs. Superman”

We already know Henry Cavill will play Superman and Ben Affleck will portray Batman, and on Friday (January 31) Warner Bros. Pictures announced that Jesse Eisenberg has been cast as Lex Luthor for “Batman vs. Superman.”
Aside from the announcement of Jesse’s role, it was also revealed that Jeremy Irons will play Alfred, Bruce Wayne’s most trusted friend, ally and mentor.

“Lex Luthor is often considered the most notorious of Superman’s rivals, his unsavory reputation preceding him since 1940,” director Zack Snyder said. “What’s great about Lex is that he exists beyond the confines of the stereotypical nefarious villain. He’s a complicated and sophisticated character whose intellect, wealth and prominence position him as one of the few mortals able to challenge the incredible might of Superman. Having Jesse in the role allows us to explore that interesting dynamic, and also take the character in some new and unexpected directions.”
The screenplay will be written by David S. Goyer, while Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan and Wesley Coller serve as executive producers. The highly-anticipated film is set to hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
