Shakira and Rihanna’s steamy duet
COLOMBIAN superstar Shakira has enlisted Rihanna’s help for her comeback single, a track with the rather unwieldy title of Can’t Remember to Forget You.
The single is the first new release for Shakira since her 2010 Spanish-language album Sale el Sol, which was a modest success by her standards. She’s no doubt hoping that joining forces with Rihanna will garner similar success to her previous duets, Beautiful Liar with Beyonce and Hips Don’t Lie with Wyclef Jean – the latter of which was the biggest-selling song of the 2000s, selling more than 10 million copies worldwide.
Will Can’t Remember To Forget You make it a hat trick of smash duets for the Latin singer? Who knows – but let’s just hope Shakira’s shoehorned a few of her trademark lyrical gems into the song, ala Whenever, Wherever’s classic line “Lucky that my breasts are small and humble, so you don’t confuse them with mountains.”
