Idina Menzel Joins Oscar Night Roster with “Let It Go”

With the overwhelming success of “Frozen,” ‘moviegoers have fallen in love with the film’s soundtrack, especially the main theme “Let It Go.”
And now, actress Idina Menzel has agreed to perform the track at the 86th Academy Awards, where it’s also nominated for Best Original Song.
“Let It Go” was written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez and it will compete against “Happy” (Despicable Me 2), “Ordinary Love” (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) and “The Moon Song” (Her).
Meanwhile, Ms. Menzel is no stranger to the stage as she scored a Tony Award for “Wicked” and another nomination for her work on the original cast of “Rent.”
